One thing's for sure, there's no shortage of beaches in Biarritz. Its coastline is lined with beaches, each more beautiful than the last. The ideal place if you want to relax and bask in the sun all day long.
This is probably the best-known of Biarritz's beaches. The Grande Plage, right in the centre of town, offers a magnificent contrast between the wild aspect of its beach and the very urban feel of its location. A very touristy promenade overlooks it and leads all the way to the Rocher de la Vierge.

Next, the Côte des Basques beach is the longest in Biarritz. Over a kilometre long, it is the cradle of surfing in the region, with its many rollers. Voted France's most beautiful beach in 2017, it offers a panorama of the Spanish coast that is not to be missed.
More intimate this time, Port-Vieux beach is small and secluded. It's right in the middle of the town and has a lot of charm thanks to its size and location. The views from this beach are magnificent: out to sea you can see the Rocher de la Vierge and, towards the town, the splendid villa Le Goéland.
Many other beaches in Biarritz are well worth a visit, including Milady beach, Marbella beach and Miramar beach.
